Linton probably spends more time on the water than he does on the land, and this former winner of the Australian Rafting Championships has navigated top rivers in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Asia.
He’s been exploring river systems for 32 years, and has run his rafting business for 22. While no two days are the same on any river, the feedback from Linton’s guests is very consistent. “They love the big rapids, and are blown away by the pristine alpine wilderness and the crystal clear waters,” he says.
A travel writer voted Linton’s Mitta Mitta River trip “one of the top five river journeys in the world”, while a Canadian rafting operator said that his trip through the Murray Gates in the Snowy Mountains “provided some of the best technical rafting in the world, combined with incredible wilderness and wildlife”.
Linton has spent long enough on dry land to co-author Victoria’s rafting standards for the Outdoor Recreation Centre, and to write the rafting risk management policies that have become best practice in Victoria.
High Country heritage, magnificent horses and warm country hospitality make these trailrides one of Victoria's most enduring adventure experiences.
Michael Watson's family have lived on their 730 acre farm adjoining the High Country for 50 years, and he's the second generation tosaddle up the horses and explore the lands of the 'Man from Snowy River'
Michael began riding almost as soon as he could walk, and has developed a vast knowledge from the mountain cattlemen who have lived in this region since the 1870's. The Watson's farm is an authentic working property, complete with 80 year old stables, 70 horses and family dogs who welcome you back from your ride.Michael's business is one of only 2 in Australia with accreditation from Horse Safe Australia whom set the world's highest safety standards
Geoff spent 29 years with one of Australia’s largest corporations, reaching senior executive level before realising that his outdoor interests were what really mattered in his life.
For the last 15 years he’s been sharing his love of canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, bushwalking, caving and touring by 4WD/RV with visitors from around the world.
His favourite places include the million year old myrtle beech forest on his Tall Trees tour where visitors may glimpse the showy performance of the lyrebird, and the peaceful rivers where guests go paddling with the platypus, an aquatic creature that’s unique to Australia.
Like his colleagues David Chitty and Linton Smith, Geoff has made a very significant contribution to adventure industry standards. He established an emergency and risk management plan for the Outdoor Recreation Centre, and has written a number of Adventure Activity Standards. He’s also the only person outside the USA to have won accreditation for the ‘Leading at the Edge’ corporate leadership program.
Jackie and Mick have led tours in Australia and thoughout Europe for a combined 34 years. Their experience has taught them that the best way to discover a region is to travel on foot. Together they have hiked in Australia, Europe, New Zealand and South America.
For the past decade they have specialised in high quality hiking tours for small groups that combine unique walking experiences with outstanding food, fine wine and luxury boutique accommodation. They spend 6 months each year leading their tours in Italy and 6 months (November to April) operating a range of hiking experiences in Northeast Victoria.
These experiences interweave the stunning scenery of the High Country with the heritage of the early settlers and the gourmet traditions of this region.

David’s knowledge and skills are very highly regarded, and he was a key driver of the Adventure Activity Standards which govern the safety and operations of adventure touring in Victoria.
